Egg Fried Rice – Quick & Flavorful Family Meal
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked rice (preferably a day old)
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sesame oil)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
½ cup carrots (finely chopped)
½ cup green peas
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon red chili flakes (optional for spice)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
2 tablespoons green onions (chopped, for garnish)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare Ingredients
If using fresh rice, spread it out on a plate to cool for a few minutes.
Beat the eggs in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Eggs
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the beaten eggs and scramble them for 1–2 minutes until cooked.
Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 3: Stir-Fry Vegetables
In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil .
Add garlic, carrots, and green peas . Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
Step 4: Add Rice & Seasonings
Add the cooked rice to the pan and mix well.
Pour in soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes . Stir everything together.
Step 5: Combine Everything
Return the scrambled eggs to the pan and mix with the rice.
Cook for another 2 minutes , stirring frequently.
Step 6: Serve & Enjoy
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds .
Serve hot and enjoy with soy sauce or chili sauce on the side!
