Ingredients

  • 2 onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (as needed)
  • Oil (for deep frying)

Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Batter

  1. In a bowl, mix sliced onions, gram flour, rice flour, green chilies, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and salt.
  2. Add a little water and mix until you get a thick batter.

Step 2: Fry the Pakoras

  1. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  2. Drop small portions of batter into the oil and fry until golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain excess oil using a paper towel.
